so you're all basically just saying blizzard has the right to take money from you for what is essentially a halfassed alternate mount LOL TEXTURE SWAPPED HORSES but if nexon does it for less on a rental-ish system where if you decide you no longer want something you're not out $25, it's evil and dirty and thievery.

edit: for the record, a maplestory mount cover is $3.50 for 90 days. about 2 years of ownership, I believe. Just thought I'd put in a proper comparison.

triple edit: Doing a little math with what I read the six month subscription costs, that would be an added $311 if you were playing it for 2 years, I think? I have quite the successful set of maplestory accounts, and going by my time spent in the game, that would be about $780 if I had played WoW for 5 years instead. I haven't actually spent $780 in Maplestory yet, and I may never end up doing so.
Looks like Maplestory is cheaper for SENSIBLE PEOPLE who know the difference between when they NEED to spend money and when they WANT to spend money. I bought some gachapon a few times like one would enter the lottery. I bought some very useful pets. I bought that permanent cash item set. I can't say I put anywhere near even $500 into this game, and I've been having a fair time even without it. I have fought Nexon over an issue once and I won. Aside from one account getting hacked, which means nothing in the real world, there is nothing particularly bad about my time with nexon, but people want to continue to compare the worst examples of people instead of going for the game as a whole. Many more people play the game without a voice than those that publically discuss the game, so how is it fair that only you determine what is good or bad? Honestly, I can't see how you aren't pissed at the worthless cash grab blizzard pulled, but are angry that a company that hosts many free MMOs tries to get money with useful items for those that would want to have them.
To put things in perspective, Nexon America only runs a few games, and apparently cannot afford to keep up the less popular ones. Nexon Korea appears to have a ton of games, most of which must be making money at a constant rate from their players in order to remain FREE. Some do well enough to have sponsored events. Unless you happen to be in Nexon and have real information to back up this "greed" issue, you're not thinking far enough into things. You believe Nexon sits on a mountain of cash all day. What if they plan to do something with that? New things can be very expensive in today's world. What if they wasted millions developing sugar rush and trying to get kartrider and audition into their lineup, all three of which seem to have fallen off the radar? That digs into those so-called profits. It's wasted effort on their part and in turn, wasted money. If they don't have that mountain of cash, they can't do anything new. You seem to think Maplestory is the only game Nexon runs, but it's quite different than that. Nexon exists to release multiple MMOs, and Nexon America is nowhere near the size of Nexon Korea yet.
