[quote=Alloy] I mean, probably, already existing stuff will probably have to be used with a magnifying glass/QUOTE]
How can they force you to use scrolls on it. If you couldn't use un-magnifying glass'd equips, they'd better make them cost like 2k mesos each because every single player will need a few dozen of them before they can even train.
As far as I can tell, this adds 2 kinds of scrolls, pretty much separately
1) Item identification
You can put a scroll for "uniqueness" (let's call it) on your weapon. This puts it in "unidentified" state, which means it's Rare/Epic/Unique. Or maybe it breaks it.
You use the magnifying glass on it, it "identifies" it. This tells you which type of item it is, and gives a new section of bonus stats.
There's also that cash shop cube that resets the identification, so you can try again.
2) Star upgrades
You use the scroll. If it works, your item gains stats randomly and gains a star. If it fails, it breaks. These can be used on any equip. (literally any equip - it doesn't need to be rare, or identified, it doesn't need to be a Reverse weapon, no conditions at all.)
I don't see how either of these are required.
