Hmm... assuming they "fix" this to the somewhat saner method of:
1) calculate total dex/luk including gear
2) get base acc/avd from those
3) add mastery, blessing, and buffs
4) multiply by 100% + gear percents
Then for example my warrior acc
1) 90 dex 24 luk
2) 84 acc
3) +20 +10 +10 = 124
4) 43% accuracy = 177 acc.
This puts the balance point of equality with current stats (assuming Zakum helm and MoN for +20 on 4 base luk) at 60 total dex, which is not unreasonable.
It also makes an interesting balance of dex/acc - with 124 acc and 40% accuracy, or 173 acc (Chief Ob. Guards), adding 10 base dex increases by 11 acc, while adding 8 accuracy on gear increases by only 10, whereas currently those would be equivalent.
It doesn't really address why they're doing this, though. Did thieves and pirates need more avoid? Did bowmen really need more acc? Warriors have low dex/luk, so end up with not much of either. I think my Paladin has about 80 avoid right now, which is mostly from equipment and blessing.
It just gives dexless warriors a new goal - hit 60 total dex, and your acc will be as before. Less than 60 dex? Your maple weapons are losing effectiveness...
