And any game that allows you to add into an skill besides attack generally comes with a price, E.G. if all you do is add into att you lose out on a secure defense and vice versa. I've added around 150 points into HP and have yet to taken them out of my aran and i'm still strong because of my equips and skills. Though I'm not against the points being added into being more but it's certainly not costly to add into HP unless your obsessed with damage. (also 1 point into hp is generally 30-40points)
If I'm not mistaken, archers only get 16-20 hp per AP added, so for the classes that actually need the extra HP, the expense is quite a bit higher in terms of what you give up. While I agree to some extent with what you are saying, a class by default should not have to improve their innate HP just to take a single hit from things. I agree in the sacrificing some attack point, but they have a defense system and as it stands it is useless. If I as an archer were to scroll all of my equipment for defense, I wouldn't come close to what is needed to survive a hit from OB4 monsters and the like. While, yes it is true that I'm not at a level appropriate for them, these are just common mobs and not even a boss. When you have skills like magic guard and meso guard this isn't so noticeable, but the defense system is lacking and we all know it. I've only had the NX to wash 13 times total and I have about 950 hp in special gear, so I can survive in certain situations. Ultimately though what is the point of having final high leveled gear when certain people can mass scroll low level common stuff and get the same benefits attack wise with no apparent detrimental affect? I'm more or less getting down to the same thing as you, just in a different manner; sacrificing "some" attack and convenience for survivability.
And don't use the "Archers can pin and not get hit" excuse, I'm a Marksman.
EDIT: Re-read some of your prior posts. You seem to agree with me more than I initially stated on the defense thing, so ignore if I was being pushy on that. My point still stands though, HP blooding or washing shouldn't be a requirement for survival; there should be options.
