I still play, and I love the global version. I love how we have NLC, apples, and 2xp cards in the cash shop. I hate wasting time to level, and I really like how easy we're getting it lately with the 2xp cards, I can say I've enjoyed this game more than I usually do with all the XP events and stuff, and it was actually worth my time to play it for more than 3 hours.
I do hate the exp system though, I went on my AM even though I quit it just to log into it, this guy was training and had 90% and I offered to party him to help him. Then we partied, and with me in the party he said it took him even LONGER than it should have to level up because of the new EXP formula, I myself didn't get crap for exp either, it was just pathetic. I really hate this new formula, there's no purpose in team play anymore unless you do PQ's. That's the only thing I hate about maple today. I played KMS for awhile, but wow it was NOT better than GMS. The english community(a lot of them, anyway) tried to act as if they were the enforcers and protecters of maple law in the KR version, there's no NLC so the pots suck, there's no 2xp, and if I try to bring my gf to play the KR version with me EVERYONE HITS ON HER, you'd think that the english players are bad but holy crap. The English players also love to point out Basil, as if they were in some kind of Tsundere relationship to Basil, no matter who you are, if you do something they don't agree with you'll hear: ''Wow I bet you come from Basil, wow you're as stupid as the people from Basil'', they literally cannot find anything better to insult with. They're also gluttons for labor in video games.
GMS is just awesome, sure we have ''n00bs'' here, but I'd rather be surrounded by noobs than the other thing, so I also think I enjoy GMS's community more. I don't see what's to hate about it either, I was a major casher on my I/L AM, I wasted ridiculous amounts of nx on stupid stuff(before the trade system came out) but I haven't cashed at all on my newer characters, and getting scrolls to sell in the MTS is actually easy now with the monster cleanup pq, so I never had to use actual money to buy 2xp cards, something that you'd have to work much harder for in KMS.
I just don't see why GMS is hated so much.
