Lined paper all the way. I find it the tidiest for me because I can stop my writing from going to a downward slant, or growing like James's Peach randomly within the writing. Simple charts aren't much of a problem for me. The lines help me make sure that the colummns and rows are equal in size for everything; which makes me feel good its tidy
The only other scenarios that I wouldn't use lined paper are graphing and drawing. When I try to do graphing on lined paper, it looks noticeably asymmetrical; which really pisses me off- so I use graphing paper to help me with that. With drawing, printer paper all the way, baby.
