For an end-game weapon, EWands are actually very cheap. Since they fixed EWands to reduce Holy damage, they have deflated quite a bit. 500m is pretty reasonable for the power boost that these weapons give.

True, but how many of these factors matter with Dark Fog? Evans basically have 65 more MATK than regular Arch Mages with Onyx Blessing, Mastery, and Soul Dragon, but since Evans can't use an Ewand with Dark Fog, that difference is almost negligible. Booster doesn't matter since Dark Fog has a 20 sec cooldown.
Critical Magic is essentially a 1.15x multiplier [ 1 + (0.3*.5)], so:
750 * 1.35 * 1.1 * 1.15 = 1280.75
620 * 1.5 * 1.25 = 1162.5
600 * 1.5 * 1.25 = 1125
That makes a bigger difference in raw damage. Dark Fog's cooldown still makes it crappier, obviously.
