Things like the greenhouse effect and ozone depletion are well documented. You can't ignore the effects of all the carbon we're putting into the atmosphere. We're certain that we are doing something to the climate. What we don't know is how the Earth's climate changes over large periods of time, because science hasn't been around for millions of years yet. We have no way of knowing for sure which way climate change is going to go. The question isn't, "did we really screw up," it's "what are the consequences of our screw up, and how can we fix it?"
