I don't understand. Granted, I have not read the books, so I will not criticize them, but I thought the girl was the human, right? Does she get turned into a vampire, then? Or is the male vampire bisexual?

This device spoils the story in one way or another.
edit: Oh, or is this not related to the book at all? I guess that's it, then. God, I'm confused.
