GM's have a history of banning people occupying the same map as hackers, particularly when the people are in some way benefiting from the hacker or could even be percieved as gaining benefit from the situation.
Two easy examples are looting from a hacker, and/or killing mobs a hacker is vaccing around the map.
The official stance on things like that is if you want to keep your account safe, find a different map/channel or risk going down with them.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
