My family actually took in a stray cat that would not leave our yard for days. We have a storage next to our garage and made a little bed out of a box and blankets, set food out for him and let him stay there for a while.
Later on we took him to the vet to get him examined, payed to have his hernia removed and he is now the best indoor cat in the damn world. He refuses to go outside now though, which is fine by me.
That cat looks cute as hell, go feed it.
