You do need close to 4k HP for Pap unless you want to live on the edge. It's easy to avoid the Power Up (5k damage bombs) but even when you can KB it 100% it's still difficult to completely avoid the bombs. You'll be able to do Left Pianus just fine without HB, but you'll have to do a ton of points in HP for Right Pianus without HB (most I've seen it do is 477x). You're good for Zak.
