I dunno. Last time I played, I was always pinging >400 (according to my post in the previous thread). Now the highest ping I normally see is around 150, and that's with (who I believe are) Euro people.
And as far as I can tell it doesn't kill gameplay nearly as much. The only qualm I have is that the list of kills and stuff in the right corner sometimes lags behind the actual game a little bit (mostly in Station-2 map, in my experience), but otherwise the game runs pretty smoothly.
