If my memory serves me right, if the Hawking radiation theory is correct, micro blackholes are expected to evaporate fairly fast (less than a nanosecond).
And as a matter of fact, the 'supporting' side is also correct in their statement. Being 'sucked' in by a blackhole won't cause any kind of feeling in the first person's view, only the gravitational time dilation happens to approach infinity from 3rd person's view, e.g: a clock passing a blackhole's event horizon would move slower and slower, approaching infinitely small speed. That, however, doesn't mean there is no threat xP
Smaller-scaled blackholes have a tendency to cause spaghettification much sooner than larger ones, thus becoming more dangerous.

Blackholes are capable of growing by absorbing additional matter such as cosmic dust, cosmic microwave background radiation. Though insignificant, the growth poses a great threat if left unattended. Then again, it requires a diameter larger than a tenth of a millimeter in order not to shrink in a blink of an eye, so probably not many micro blackholes caused by the LHC can survive to become a villain. xP
Not to mention that the 'food' most likely ain't available within the LHC o_O
