I mean, who really needs to "collect em all?" It's the frigging company with its frigging ad campaign out to make you squander your life savings. If there's anything I've learned from games such as "M:TG," it's that if you want to just play the game, you get a ream of resume paper, do some work with photoshop, and make fake M:TG (or pokemon or whatever) cards, and play using those. No, "it's not the same," but you save like 2,000 dollars.
I'm not even going to get into how much money I've blown on Pokemon cards and other related things. It would probably put NX whores to shame. At least I still have everything and didn't sell it off when I "grew up" like some of my other friends.
