Reasons for a archmage to try for Lv 200?
#5
TLX Wrote:So, is there really any good reasons for a mage to aim for level 200?

I could get echo, but that is rather useless for a magician class. Why would I need extra damage when I already 1 hit everything? Not going to need to train anymore at 200 anyway. And bossing? Arch mages are pretty bad at bosses. This extra damage bonus from echo seems to be worthless for a mage. Really, a 16x arch mage isn't any more effective than a 200 arch mage. 1 hit is 1hit.

Another one of the "rewards" lowers my motivation as well. The medal is only 8 m.atk. Complete trash compared to the medals other jobs get. 3 atk is far more helpful to an attacker than 8 m.atk is to a magician that doesn't even need more damage at that point.

Also, what does a mage DO once they reach 200? Other classes can solo bosses, go on pink bean/HT runs, etc. But again, arch mages suck at bossing. What can we do? Nothing? Sell leech while getting no exp?

So, yeah. It just seems to me that the time it takes to get to 200 (which, by the way, isn't really all that much) is not really worth it when the rewards you get are total trash.

Hmm...
-Leech others.
-Be an echo mule which will probably get you into more boss raids if the runs full of damage hores.
-Dragon mount.
-I would say boasting rights.. but Ultimates + NLC pots = pathetically fast n easy compared to every other class.. Not much of an achievement in my eyes but might be for you so w/e.
-20w.atk BoS for another char on that account.

Thats about it..
I wouldnt be holding my breath for some exclusive wonderful high level content, bulk of the players never see past level 150 or 4th job at all for that matter so why would the designers bother keeping a minority happy when pleasing the majority is what'll keep the game afloat.
