I Give You, The PS3 Slim!

I came when i read the PS3 Slim news, seriously.

Now, about dual release games looking better on the 360 and not the PS3...They are freaking LAZY PROGRAMMERS!!!!! The Ghostbusters "snaffue" was obvioulsy due to the laziness of porting the game from the 360 version to the PS3 version, because it is still easier to start out on the 360 and bring it over to the PS3. All games that were made on the PS3 first and then ported to the 360 looked better on the ps3 than the 360, because it was MADE for the PS3, and vice versa when made on the 360 first.

This wasn't the case. Ghostbusters wasn't ported. Terminal Reality developed both games simultaneously. Alos, TR boasted about how good all their "in-house" PS3 development was godly compared to others. If you ask me, they didn't do a very good job of showing that off.

Second, I'd like to point out two nice features of the PS3. Playstation Home and the Blu-Ray player. Playstation Home is a free online service for the PS3 compared to Microsoft's Xbox Live subscriber, and while there's very few available games to play on the Home network(1.3 patch is supposed to support ALL PS3 games), I hope it grows to something to rival that of Live. Live is an extremely useful online service and is probably used more often by gamers than the current state of PC games. But you gotta think here:The Xbox 360 is pretty much an extremely cheap computer. And a pretty darn good one at that.

The Blu-Ray player really shines for Sony as Microsoft had it's folly with the HD-DVD disaster. Most Blu-Ray players at this moment are in the price range of $150-$300 by themselves, which make the Sony a very attractive offering. But that only applies to people who don't rip all their movies off the internet/just buy regular DVD and play them on the Xbox 360 lol.

In my opinion, Playstation Home is a gimmicky version of Second Life that has absolutely no practical use outside of playing it for 15 minutes. Also, subscribing to Xbox Live for 13 Cents and day for a year is extremely cheap. The Xbox 360 will always offer a better online experience because when Sony is trying to catch up, Microsoft pumps something that much better out. Sony is just getting another Firmware revision (3.0) with a few new features in the coming weeks. This fall the Xbox is getting Facebook, Last.fm and Twitter. Again, pushing the boundaries between home entertainment from just a Game Console to a Home Media Hub in your living you.

I completely agree on the Blu-Ray thing though. Sony does have an enticing offer for their PS3, or Slim at $300 as a Game Console and a Blu-Ray player. But, this is also why Sony has lost so much this generation. Personally, I do not agree. This generation is not ready for Blu-Ray. As long as we still can make amazing games without it, for example on the Xbox's end, then it's just a waste of technology right now. Again, look at Resident Evil 5 for the Xbox and PS3. Xbox has the better graphics which isn't an excuse because the PS3 has Blu-ray. What's the point of having technology if they're not going to use it.
