If you are running out of memory often, you could always try increasing your virtual memory. (Manually, to 2-3x the Windows "recommended" amount.)
It's not the best solution, but it helped me, and it's lots cheaper than buying a new video card. And I don't lag from my video card/RAM anymore, except after 2 hours+ at Zakum with summons flying around, when I'm pretty certain my video card is much worse than yours. (I lag from my internet, but that's different.) My video card was integrated into a bottom-of-the-line laptop bought 4 years ago. So yeah.
