You're slightly misinterpreting it.

There is nothing to suggest this is the past, in fact, considering the layout of the map, there is no room for more paths behind the other 2 doors, this may suggest that one door is the future, and one is the past, seeing as the current door clearly opens into the present.

We have no reason to assume that it goes to the past.
