First, I'll post my book when it's level 4.
SECOND, I believe I found how the book level works exactly. I guess you must have noticed before, but here it goes :p
LV 1 - 0
LV 2 - 11
LV 3 - 31
LV 4 - 61
LV 5 - 101
LV 6 - 151
LV 7 - 211
LV 8 - 281
LV 9 - 356 (Yet to see one)
We can only get LV 7 for now, aparently. ANYWAYS, I'm welcome to any other suggestions for how the level works. And if you wonder how I noticed this... Look closely to the numbers:
1 + 10 + 20 + 30 + 40 + 50 + 60 + 70 + 80.
Oh yeah, and each level color represents each color tab. Red, orange, yellowish green, green, light blue, blue, purple, and black. Maybe level 9 is a golden book... WHO KNOWS. Maybe there's something about that in the data?

I'm working on it. All I've got now are high level monsters and they're being oh-so-stubborn. I will have 5 more by... Monday, at the very least guaranteed (the monster book boss card quest.) But that doesn't mean I'll give up trying to get new ones.
I am pretty sure you're right, though. Has anyone counted how many there are currently? If your guide is correct then that means level 8 is currently unachievable, I believe. I'll do a quick count in a minute, actually.
edit: Wow, that's discouraging. There's definitely enough and way more than I thought I still had to get.
Also, the book only goes up to level 8, alloy. It goes by the colour/amount of tabs, and since the final one is special it doesn't count as a book level.
