Pirate's Niche

What makes your class special? Where do you shine? What skills give you a unique experience you can't get from any other class?

The fact that marauders unlock their strongest skills under certain limited conditions.

Mobs for the most part, but only when training. They're as good at bossing as they are in training, but not till 4th job in my opinion.

Energy charge. I love it.

And for those of you who have other characters, how did they compare? Where is a Pirate better or worse than your previous class? How are they the same and different?

My marauder has gotten to 91 faster than any class i've ever trained, and it's been an extremely enjoyable experience the whole ride. The only thing i can say i hate right now is that i don't really have much of a defense against roaming bosses (oak barrel pales in comparison to dark sight in that respect). Other than that, i love my class.
