So far, from personal experience. It is harder for me to CPQ in comparison to the other classes I've played. Even a Cleric that I used at CPQ > my Slinger at CPQ. Slingers are terribly weak, but they will get fun for sure at 4th job. I will be able to freeze and burn at 3rd job, something my Hermit would never be able to do.
At this point being, I 'think' that it would be easier to train on a Sin than it is on a Slinger because a Sin at 2nd job has higher DPS and thus, can solo better. I've done this on my Slinger, it's just boring.
At 3rd job, I'm sure there will be a huge difference.
