Just to point out for people, someone did a test of x2 vs non x2 for a long amount of time imo. While some stuff like ores and equips didn't change much (and isn't a good indicator), etc values were relatively close and no where near even say a x1.2 amount.
And like someone said above, x2 drop events haven't worked since forever. The code is probably wrong, maybe a typo or the process isn't going through.
