Courage says a lot about a person. Let me tell you a story or two.
Back when I was in middle school, I always went for the hot girls that I thought was pretty, didn't work well. On Valentine's Day, I put in a teddy bear and some roses in the girl's locker. As she opened it, I sneaked from far away, and saw her face reaction, she was surprised, but she obviously had no feelings for me.
Point from this story? Courage is good, in the sense that I had the balls to do that. The bad thing? Don't shove roses / stuff teddybears in someone's locker that doesn't know you really well. Also, don't go for the typical hot-looking girl, life doesn't work that way.
Here's another story. I met my online girlfriend (of 2 years <3) through some forum, and we just talked about 'a videogame', if you wanted to be specific, it was Super Smash Brothers Melee. I private-mailed her, and we chatted daily about video games, and sometimes, just random things. Eventually, on April's Fools, she told me she was going to kill herself, so I told her not to. Me, being the idiot I am, forgot that it was April's Fools. She thought it was a nice gesture of me, but she wasn't into 'that sort of thing', aka online relationships.
A year passed, I gave up on her, she had me on MSN, and one day, she messaged me asking if I was bothered that she IM'ed me, because sometimes, I never responded since I was always playing 'Maple Story'. I got her into playing it, and one day, we decided to get married as friends. She noticed as months went on, when another girl was around me, that she got jealous. She eventually developed feelings for me, and that's how we were in a relationship. I'll be seeing this girl of mine this upcoming June, for about a full week for her prom and all that. May I mention, my current girlfriend is more beautiful than all and any of the girls I had a school-crush on when I was in Middle School throughout my first 2 years of High School.
Point being, sometimes, you don't have to look for things, they 'can' come to you. Sometimes, people are fated to meet.
