Huh, I never found Rusted Kushala particularly difficult to the point of needing flashes. But then again, I use a raw/pierce LBG set, Pierce S seems to ignore his wind barrier (and I felt I was getting it to flinch a lot as well), and any competent group will knock it down with a mount and poison it.
