I ran into a djho recently. Is the savage one in this game in high rank? Because the icon looked funny and it was already glowing red and stuff. I hauled ass after getting hit by its dragon breath.
So funny story. Was playing until work (so like 8pm - 11pm). Grinding the hell out of Zinogre with randoms. Nothing. Kept getting nonsense, all the stuff I don't want, etc. Then, on my last run, I carved one, and got one in the rewards. Was able to make all three instances of the hammer I needed (I had one from earlier runs). No more High Rank Zinogre needed, thankfully. I like him as a monster, he's one of the more enjoyable fights, but I always seem to have problems with his rare. I remember killing over 100 of them for one Skymerald in 3U.
Regardless, I'll be happy to help you get those gems, or anything else really. Always more fun playing with friends than with randoms. Plus I don't trust randoms to be able to do Elder Dragons, to be completely honest, so we can do those as well if you want.
Savage Jho is in High Rank. He's a Post-Dalamadur quest if you need the Black Blood or whatever it is that he drops exclusively. Outside of that he can appear randomly like regular Jho. Any quest with the yellow question mark icon can have Jho show up, or a random other monster as well. You don't see him as a quest objective until HR7, and Savage is part of the post-game content for MH4 (after you beat Dalamadur and remove the HR restrictions, I think Savage is HR50 or 60).
There's also Golden Rajang....so there's that to look forward to. He's basically identical to Savage Jho in that he's always basically in rage, with a new super rage as his normal rage...and he gives a special drop that regular Rajang doesn't. Rajang is a horrible monster, by the way. Anyone who is scared of Deviljho has absolutely no idea what they're walking in to with Rajang.

Also, I am now at 9th Star and I've yet to see Jhoey around.
Seregios's gear is....eh. It heavily relies on that dodging-to-restore-sharpness mechanic, because most of the weapons can't use Sharpness+1 at all and have pitifully low Purple, White, and Blue sharpness levels (like 1-2 bars each at final form). They have decent raw but there's better. They might be fine when you first can make them, but by end game I don't expect to be using any of them.
As for Jho...I don't think many of the offline quests have Jho chances. You should see him in 10*, though, after you beat the story. If you really want to fight him eat for Gamechanger on quests with the yellow question mark.
