As cool as it sounds, I honestly don't think GF is going to take much of an advantage of it. As far-reaching as the statement is, it's still a "cop-out" explanation for the existence of Mega Evolution in Hoenn in ORAS but not RSE. So much potential, but GF is probably just going to use it as their go-to rationale for retcons now.
