Everyone is bound to say X place back in year Y was great. All a matter of when you entered.

I don't know about that then. But then again. if you need to post more than 500 times a day on 4chan, or any site in general, I'd be questioning your use of your time. Now if we're talking universities/campuses I can see the problem. It's definitely really bad an issue for more public places, hardly an issue with private homes and such. Well heck, if nothing else you can always use your phone to make smaller 4chan posts but use the campus computers for larger posts.
I do however agree a post limit per IP at all is really odd. It's like Moot wants to drive away certain users, or make people shell out money to continue posting.
