Digital Mafia - TOWN WINS

Good evening my fellow townies, mafia goonies, and neutral wormies. I have tried this past day to figure out my next move. You see I am in a big pickle. And boy was i shocked to see that I lived past night 3 to be honest. I have crunched numbers, theories, everything. Sadly it comes back to me being dead tonight. So with a heavy burden off my chest (I have been going ape pomegranate worrying what to do), I would like to role claim. I am the researcher, or a cop i guess. I really didn't want to claim. I was hoping after defending Meta with a crappy excuse a fellow townie would be like HMMM. But that would also put me on the radar with the baddies. I am not that great with convincing others, because as Luv said, if you are a townie there is no reason to lie. But in my pickle I couldnt be so forth coming for obvious reasons. I don't believe in forcing my beliefs on others nor do I follow the beliefs of others. I do my absolute best to follow my instincts without the outside influence of others. I was suspicious of Meta on the first day. So strange his speech. I used my ability on night 1. Came up a townie, hence why I protected when he couldn't protect himself well. On day 2 I was fishy of Luv. Always on my mind. I knew he wasn't townie. So I voted in hopes of knowing more. Sadly this was during his nappy time which I apologize for. I know how it is to read pages of eye-crossing theories at 4am, so to read AND defend can be quite taxing. This lead to him wanting to use his power on day 3, since Maspan was killed during the night. During the night I looked at every one of you while stroking Kyra's stache (lol). Faon stood out to me since he made my head hurt. Stupid reason I know but hey. It was a late decision too. Unlike Meta which took no time for me to decide, for Faon it took me mere 2 hrs BEFORE daytime to start to make my decision. And what do I get....a naughty mafia. I tried to share this. Truly I did. I almost wanted Luv to handle it but it just didn't seem right. Make the bed you sleep in eh. That is why I voted for Faon. You can choose to follow or not. ~off to walk the dog with a lighter heart. how do you guys deal with the pressure LOL

Aside from that, we're in a pretty bad situation right now. You really shouldn't have claimed today; I suspected that you were cop from your post on Day 1, and your posts slowly got more obvious over time. I mentioned it in my Shidoshi/Death Theory post on page 16 (I believe?), and was hoping you'd pick it up. I also defended you a few times, just saying You're very wrong if you held the belief that nobody had picked up on it.

Anyway.

We're in a tight spot because the only reason Faon struck out was because of meta-game. Like he said, he had been playing FLAWLESSLY, which leads me to believe that the other members have been laying low or are playing flawlessly as well. We have NO leads beyond Faon, and this is really starting to freak me out. I repeat, NO LEADS. Nobody else has had an obvious slip-up, and how on earth are we going to evoke a confession from someone who has no reason to confess? On top of that, because Meow claimed to get rid of Faon, we've essentially taken a really good eye for an eye. There is no doubt that meow will be targeted tonight, and I swear to god, if we have a doctor pineappleing protect her damn it, I don't care what you've been doing the past two days but we need her, we really need her right now because we have virtually nothing to go off.

But Meow, if I was the one who ended up forcing you to claim I am really sorry. Seriously. I shouldn't have pushed it, so I'm apologising up front. I was really hoping that faon wasn't mafia, that he was legitimately a good Townie... I'm a little disappointed in myself for doubting the only bloody source of alignment information that we had. You would have had every right to shout profanities at my ignorance (still do, so haul it at me, you hear?)

I'm a little confused about your voting record; you said you investigated Faon during night 3? But it's still the second half of day 3, isn't it?

As for the conscience, I found it really difficult being the cop last game. As soon as I got a mafia hit it was rather exciting, but I quickly realised the consequences. (and the insanity part, god damn) It took a lot of willpower for me to lead that lynch that by all logic should have been statistically viable but was off, so I respect you for doing it.

Since I highly doubt you are mafia trying to claim cop it looks like we have a very good idea of who to contain tonight.

If she is mafia claiming cop, then she's been giving crumbs and hints since day 1. When she defended Meta I was nearly certain that she was an investigator, though her presence in the game was kinda bad as a result.

Firstly, thanks Holypie for believing in me. I read your long posts and I agreed with it.

To Kyra, as I said earlier, my earliest intention was to control all Townies to vote against the mafia. I know it does sounds scummy but I didn't think it was until Day 2. I infected Shidoshi because he was one of the most vocal players at that time, with perfectly logical deductions. That fitted my initial plan, so I infected him. Then, at Day 2, I changed my plan instead. Clear enough?

Thanks for the clarification, but I still have no idea how you ever thought that was a good idea. Manipulating what could be a townie's only true power to force someone to talk during the day is walking an unnecessarily dangerous path.

This logic could work either way. Why would meow investigate Faon since he was largely unsuspicious?

This is the biggest kick in my side, because up until now Faon had been entirely co-operative with the town in trying to get people lynched. Why meow had any reason to investigate him was beyond me; by the second day I was still suspicious of TheBirds before his posts and Luv to some extent, as he kept mentioning his voting restriction and hinted at his ability. As Faon mentions later, dying based on meta-game and meta-game alone is largely due to some pretty bad luck/circumstances, and while it's good for Town, it's a bad habit to fall into and removes focus from the game.

gosh i hate these penta hungry yi's... ANYWAY to the task at hand.

But I still want to entertain the notion that I have a moustache that grants magical powers. -strokes-

fano has given up too easily, not that i don't doubt he is mafia, but i get this feeling that he might have a power like cakes did in last game, so we need to watch out for thatalso, after looking through fano's posts i feel that holypie and cakesxd should be put at the top of the suspect list

More than that, seeing that his teammates encouraged him to give up leads me to believe that there's some real pomegranate about to happen. Ultimately, we're in bad shape.

In all seriousness, Kyrastri's ability is a game of chance, because if the mafia truly did get a strongman kill ability, only a hider could save meow.

Also a side note about Kyrastri's ability being activated in the middle of the day and something I want to bring up. Does anyone have a concern that Kyrastri's ability may also have the ability to stop the day early and force the votes to be counted at that time? It is just a concern from the result of her roll of a 12 that we got today. It may be nothing but my mind imagining the worst case scenarios, although it is something to consider...

I never considered that I would be able to stop the day early, but at this point I don't even have a better clue of what I do or how the person I roll it to gets affected. I've gotten no PMs, nothing. I'm completely in the dark, which is part of why I've been posting theories so much. I want to get everything I know and suspect out in this game, and whether people believe me/use it is up to them.

edit: took a second to chill out and sorry if I sound like a negative nancy. We probably aren't as bad as I'm thinking it is. Vlad's been cackling at us every time we kill the wrong person, and I'm starting to think that he's enjoying watching us struggle in this game. For someone that really enjoys a good game o' luck, this is real rotten. A rigged machine, if you will.

I'll return to your regular scheduled theorycrafting/scumhunting, but remember folks; don't get caught up in lynching faon. He's given up, but we can't give up yet until every damn cheating person is caught.
