Inactivity may not equate to scum but it's easy to hide among the silent if we don't push people to talk. While Chaz and Liable are being pushed because of their actions, we at least have actions to push against, and we need to get people talking if we want to start building a case early like you suggested. We need more information on the unknown, so we have bigger fish to fry.
Chaz Wrote:While I tend to be agressive normally. I tend to use as little words to get to the point. Mostly because my use of langauges is really bad.
Another thing to note is that the other forum I played mafia games on mafia members usually did misdirection instead of agreeing as you guys have mentioned here. Most of you have a way different play style then what I am used too. what some of you people call stupid or sketchy is mostly due to inexperience of how you guys work/play and the fact that agreeing didn't hurt you on the other forums(even tho the mafia won like almost every time expect for 3 I think). I also don't like to do long lengthy posts mostly due it takes me a lot longer then your average person to make it not look like total garbage. Lazy mode really explains me well. Too much work for me to make quality posts most of the times.
If i were to write an extended quality response it would probably take me at least a good hour or more mostly due to double and triple checking my horrible spelling then checking if the grammar is at least understandable.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to see, and I'm not asking for a new(er) testament when you post, but I guess consider what it adds to the discussion a little more. I haven't seen how your other forum plays mafia, but we do have other players who play elsewhere and it wouldn't be completely fair if we let otherwise suspicious behaviour off the hook.
edit: response to Liable
to preface: sorry in advance if I sound particularly aggressive, sneaky play personally annoys me and I never liked the "this is for my benefit", self-absorbed talk when this is a game where we're meant to collectively oust cheats. Hopefully I won't say anything that warrants use of this disclaimer but I'm putting it out there just in case. And I know it's probably not deliberate JSYK. Call it personal preference.
Liable Wrote:Motive to vote Chaz: well if we return to the post that I started to make an action…
I had already given my reasoning. Yes it’s probably not a good base to start off with but we have to start somewhere. And coincidentally I’ve gained engagement from Shidoshi and Faonkarino.
I wasn't really questioning your already given reasoning, which other people have picked apart already (and also the basis of people's votes on you). Though now that I think about it, weren't you perpetuating part of the same accusation you had for voting Faon (adding onto a vote count)?
And I don't think I really need to, or anybody else for that matter, know about who you've been engaging with, or whose 'reactions' you've gauged if you're going to keep it to yourself for future days. The last time someone did that (they didn't even mention that their analysis had gotten so extensive), they got annoyed at everyone else. And we all know what happened to him.
Liable Wrote:OMGUS on faokarino: If it was a real OMGUS, then it would be to Shidoshi wouldn’t it? But as I have mentioned, I’m trying to gather responses and collect tone and attitude towards my action, which’ll be quite useful from day 2 and onwards.
Not necessarily. And like I said before, it won't be useful if we don't know about it. If Romeo knew that Juliet was faking it, we wouldn't be stuck with a play about the antics of two unfortunate lovers.
Liable Wrote:Voting and raising stakes: Maybe I’m using this wrong but sure tagging and calling to gain a response is probably a less aggressive way to receive engagement and information from your target but voting them like I have done does create a lot more discussion.
So you did read of my antics of this morning. I'm not disagreeing with you, but we already had 2 votes. 3, to me, suggests that you want to lynch that person. And you were scumhunting. Getting him to talk was already useless at this point as he had already spoken and even voted for someone he thought suss.
