I think it's safe to assume there are 3~4 mafia. Assuming 4, that would mean they would have majority on Island B. I would think that that would mean that mafia would try and make a subtle attempt to just lynch someone right now. So I'd say there's probably a good chance there's an even split of mafia on either island.
Plus it'd be smarter to have your eggs in each basket.
