She wants to be first in your mind. She expected you to rush right back to her from your trip. You say "I have lots of work". OK. Then it turns out you have time to hang with your friends, two days before you have time for her? That makes her feel like she's not your #1 priority. I know I would not be happy if my boyfriend did that.
Now, if Saturday was decided on because she couldn't make it earlier, that's different. Less rational, though still something I could understand. Like, "if you have time for friends tonight, you could come see me for even a few minutes."
