Naw. I just hit CoTA and Cath 4 as soon as possible; for Cath 4, I usually TP back and remake if I have to backtrack a lot to find more mobs to kill. I usually use speed oriented skills to get there faster. As for what I do:
-I cranked the difficulty up to Masters from the get-go, and max paragon points into main/attack speed/all resist/area damage. Skip all dialogue and cut scenes.
-Hellfire Ring helped a lot in almost one shotting lowbie mobs until I got to 16+ for a socketed weapon.
-I always try to go for a build that emphasized burst massive AoE damage, fast resource generators, and passives that give damage boosts and/or more reliable resource generation. Some examples:
1. So for Demon Hunter my passives were Archery/Steady Aim/Blood Vengance. I had Preparation - Punishment to turn Discipline into Hatred, and Multishot - Suppressive Fire to give back Discipline so fast I can spam Multishot
indefinitely as long as there's more than 4-5 mobs to hit. Rain of Vengeance - Shade was for the huge AoE burst whenever I see a gigantic mob group. Other skill slots were filled according to preference. Trust me when I say I was changing my build about every couple levels until I reached my optimal set of skills.
2. Currently, my Monk is using Exploding Palm - Strong Spirit and Cyclone Strike - Implosion to recover Spirit really fast. I have maxed times maxed out my Spirit from 0 to 250 in a second thanks to clumping up so many mobs before Exploding Palm went off.
-I have level 42-45 850-1,000 DPS weapons waiting for me. I usually crank it up to Torment I around here, and keep going until it's too hard and finish to 60 on Masters or keep it on Torment 1 if I could handle it.
-I usually keep the Cain Set on until I can use my level reduced weapons and make a fine paste out of the mobs (so I essentially use the set from levels 23-45)
-Use Haedrig to keep gear up to date as much as possible.
-I always make sure the Templar has Inspire for the increased resource generation. Naturally I gotta give him a shield and such so he doesn't die in a few hits at the higher levels.
