Was originally thinking this Gfx card but I wouldn't be able to utilize all of that memory so I think I would be better off getting Gfx card or maybe upgrading to Gfx card.
Thinking about getting either a 16 GB kit RAM or save some money down the road by getting the 32 GB kit RAM.
Was originally thinking HDD for OS, HDD for Games, and HDD for storage but then I thought about getting 4 of these HDD and using RAID 1 + 0.
Also might need some thermal paste. AS5?
I think that's everything I "need" to get started.
How do you intend to use this new part or new computer? What's the heaviest load it's likely to encounter?
I'll likely never be able to utilise this to it's fullest potential but I've currently deluded myself into thinking that if I go with these parts I won't have to upgrade for say 5+ years.
dat PSU quality(just note that it cannot sustain 880w on the 12v rail, so if you ever plan on dual gpus in the future, don't unless you change the power supply.

1. Mobo: LGA 2011 choices arent much, at this price point, you really only have the Sabertooth and the Deluxe(slightly newer chipset, cost more)
2. Fine with IB-EK model, just dont haphazardly spend money for the black sticker given with the IB-EX
3. Personally not a fan of low end single 120mm watercooling units on upper tier processors, it works, but will not stretch out the muscle the processor can potentially give
4. GFX card: very unbalanced, most people who go LGA 2011 get top tier gpus(780, 780ti, Titan, 290, 290X). GPU horsepower > CPU horsepower for performance gain. GPU's are also the ones that age the quickest. going only mid tier RIGHT before the release of 20nm GPU's later this year will bite you quickly as the year passes on by.
5. Ram is your own choice. just find whats most of value. sweet spot tends to be around 1866 cl 9. not going to say much as ram is more relevant to synthetics and IGPUs
6. EVO is fine for genreal use, just note that it uses TLC memory and not MLC memory, so its only slightly slower in write speed(read is about the same) to comparable Sata III SSD's
7. No need to comment on HDD, HDD world is pretty stagnant
8. Thermalpaste: depends on how permanent the release is, Coollaboratory liquid pro/ultra is top tier, except its near permanent once its attached on. Here's an in depth review on methodology and practical applications of TIM and the follow up review on several TIM's
case is fine though, albeit im not really a CM person when it comes to cases, the HAF X has enough to get around
