Does anyone know if Nexon's currently on holidays?

Question Wrote:it unlikely there will be a rollback tho cuz nexon remove all shop from cs and that why there most likely be no rollback

cuz hacker cant sell w/o shop even if they dupe

How exactly is "removing the shops" justification for no rollback? I'm not even sure what they expected to accomplish there, except stopping BRAND new accounts from using them. Now the brand new accounts can just transfer stuff to the older ones that already have shops, it overall accomplishes nothing.

MountLag Wrote:Why would they sell things when they can just dupe meso?

The way I figure: When you dupe anything, but don't transfer it, it's easy to handle. If all dupers never sold or transferred anything they duped, then it's pretty easy to deal with because things that are duped are owned by only hackers. On the other hand, there are people who just happen by something duped, and buy it without realizing that it was duped (There are things that are obviously duped, and then there are things that are not). These people are far more common than you think. Now a large portion of the population has been infected. It's much harder to handle it now, increasing the chances that Nexon doesn't properly handle the issue. Expecting to come out of a dupefest with EVERYTHING you duped is stupid, but in more than one example (recent example, even), not everything was removed.

Include the fact that legit players have been infected by duped items. They can't just ban everyone that has something duped, because then they'll be chasing away customers by banning them for something they didn't do. They didn't dupe, and there's a possibility they don't even know they have a duped item (ignorance is bliss). Nexon's deletion of duped items fails horribly on most occasions, so in the end by selling they increase the chances of keeping things they duped when Nexon fu'cks up later this week in their attempt to fix it.

As another note, the fact that a MASSIVE duping hack like this appears right when Nexon goes on vacation (as they always do around this time of the year) is far too coincidental. It was likely planned. This exploit has probably existed for some time and the discoverer(s) of it took advantage of it at a time where it's expected that no support would come for far too long, far longer than it would be to safely rollback without angering the paying players. I doubt Nexon will do a week+ rollback. The longer it takes for them to respond the more likely the chance they won't rollback at all, and attempt to fix the issue the old fashioned way (which they suck at).
