meh - a ridiculous judgement which is way over the top. 750k for a little h4ck lolol. of which probably they will receive very little or nothing 
IP law is excessive and needlessly punitive. ryan/mike/alexandria and others are now bankrupted several times over.
the site is still running. ryan/mike/alexandria and others just had the misfortune of living in the US and actually responding to the lawsuit.
on the second case (paralletl) - probably a patent troll. a dodgy patent which they bought from someone and are using it to harass them to try to get some cheap money
