You don't do precision platforming in the gotta go fast games for that very reason.
You also don't do precision platforming in the slowmo games because sega don't know how to give you a character you really have control over.
Basically, if you want to play with precision platforming in a 3d enviroment, you should be getting a game that starts with Super Mario _____.
Good job 3d world is out soon, it can't possibly be worse than lost world, even if it does sound horribly short compared to the galaxy games
