I've noticed recently that my Mom has been super nitpicky about lights being turned on and off. Besides the washroom, whenever a light is only on for a few minutes, my Mom insists that the light be kept on because if you turn it on then off in a very short period of time, you are wasting electricity and reducing the life of the light bulb. For example, I go to my room and turn on the lights to change my clothes, and then when I leave I turn it off. My Mom complains that I am wasting power and light bulbs... I honestly don't believe this but I'm just wondering what everybody here thinks.
