Only problem I had with Humpney's death was the fact that he lost his cool at the end and said he didn't want to die, but that was probably placed there just to prove he really was a human, so I guess it's fine. Halfway into the episode, he was correct, he needed to die before the last human died off, or else he would have wandered forever with no way to actually end it. I wonder if a true immortal can die under any circumstances, or if they would just drift in literal nothingness forever once the planet that hosts them is destroyed, or even the universe that hosts them dies. Not that it would matter; each second would drag on for an eternity from their point of view even in the time period up to that point; they would be freezing, suffocating, and starving at the cusp of death for the rest of their unending lifespan, drifting through space.
