Then there is the so called "unique" playstyle of zero. I am going to be honest here that I have no idea how nexon is going to pull off a 2character combat system, but seeing it now I finally understood. There is no 2character combat system. It is just an overhype animated final attack with AP to put into -_-'''
I am not so sure that it's as boring. I saw one video where a few attacks were used, but not much tagging or assisting was done. It was like "here's one, here's the other". Then a different video used frequent assists. It look a LOT cooler.
Right off the bat, there looks like there's quite a bit to learn about playing the class. I mean, when I look at upgraded 4th job Wind Archer, yes it's flashy, but in the end, I already know how to play it. Buff, Super Hurricane 1-4 targets, use the mob skill arrow if there's more. Hyper if necessary. Case closed. But Zero? There's combos, chances to switch, slightly different effects, etc. And even then, I'm betting the timing might be awkard in the switch. Alpha uses a normal(6) weapon with -3 attack speed in the mastery (apparently boosters were done away with). Beta uses a slow(8) with -2 speed. That's a huge, 3 speed difference, not even accounting for skill delays.
It might be similar to Hayato. Hayato didn't look fun just by skill animations and videos, but actually zipping through the map with awesome attacks was actually quite enjoyable.
