Okay let's look at this from a practical point of view. Anyone who takes the girl/guy over the Internet is shooting themselves in the foot. Remember that you're going to be stuck with the other person for 10 years. Cabin fever will inevitably set in, and you two will both want out due to not being able to take being near each other 24/7 for the 500th day.
I'll emerge in those 10 years with $9m to squirrel away.

being alone for 10 years in a closed basement can be much worse.people can get insane of some months alone without speaking to anyone.
if you will be alone 10 years,im pretty sure you won't make it and try suicide.
you must at least have someone else to speak to.talking to strangers on the internet is not a replacement for actual humans speak.
