Patch Available - JMS 3.12

I find it better than the UI where they just added 100 shortcut icons to the right side and didn't remotely attempt to adapt to the new resolution at all.

The only part I agree about is the HP/MP bars. They could be a little bigger, but you also have to take into consideration that the increased resolution scaled to non-proportionate pictures makes it seem smaller than it is. I just hope that people in 800x600 aren't screwed and it scales properly.

Hmm, I can't say I find either preferable. I always play 800x600 (except for Magnus because it's easier to see things, and Monster Life because you have to), and I think that bottom bar is the best, HP and MP are right dead center. In the new UI, the focus is more on the hot keys, which I guess is great if you're a class with lots of skills with cooldowns, but, I just think HP and MP, and to a lesser extent, EXP, are the most important part, and should be right in the middle instead of pushed off to the side, and this one is even worse with how short, but wide, the HP and MP bars are.
