Though I must admit that your post seems... very indirect, I think I understand what you're trying to get at.
I suffer from the not-finishing-stuff-properly too. But you know... awhile back I had something I wanted to figure out as well. It puzzled me for awhile, but a month ago, I realized a way to do it conceptually. I waited till yesterday to try it out, and was surprised to find it took less than 30 minutes once I knew what to do. Maybe it'll work out similarly?
