Yeah, because the reason they ever started putting tailed beasts into jinchurriki certainly wasn't EXPLICITLY TO GIVE CONTROL OVER THEM. Oh, wait. The mists plan is goddam retarded. At ebst they have some magical jutsu that can pull a tailed beast out of a person. This only worked on Kushina because she had just given birth, and it took hours/days for akatsuki to do it to force a tailed beast out of a person and into the statue from anyone else, even if they were near death and hence couldn't prevent it themselves.
