Get the kids to become smart and aware of their surroundings. I used to be one of those annoying idiots on the internet, but then I realized that the world isn't what I thought it was, then everything changes.
It really depends what your dealing with kids for. If its for school reasons, make them realize that education is important. If its for food or something, tell them about unfortunate individuals in other parts of the world.
