So why is legendary spear added to this if defense reduction doesnt matter? I know a lot of these things arent how it looks on paper. Because a lot of other things like abnormal status resistance and so on makes a big difference but I just dont see a point to use legendary spear on a 0% def mob.

It does matter because it's one of the ways a Mercedes gets to deal 100% Defense Ignore. You would prefer the Mercedes have one line less of boss damage? Because I'm sure every Mercedes would prefer sacrificing the extra 100%/s and 1 hits/s to be able to have 40% more boss damage unless they actually hit 50m with each line of Ishtar and AFA without it.
