Very happy with the Siren so far. I was pretty sure she was the right character for me and have yet to run into a situation where Phase Lock wasn't useful in some way. Even the bosses that I can't Lock into place take a huge chunk of damage from it at no cost to me. The sheer variety of ways I can use it has been amazing me in new ways each time I play.
Enemy hiding behind cover? Phase Lock him.
Rakk way, way out in the distance? Phase Lock then snipe.
Phase Lock(Converge) + Singularity Grenade = tons of crowd control and easy grouping
Phase Lock(Converge) + MIRV grenade for crazy damage/AOE nuke
Phase Lock(Converge,SubSequence,Helios,Cloud Kill) = Amazing chain reaction of death, easy way to cc multiple enemies multiple times. Unfortunately there's no way to work Ruin into the combination until the level cap is raised beyond 50 (level 56 if you want rank 5 SubSequence).
Phaselock + Thunderballs Fist (Orange pistol from Baron Flynt) = fun with mini-grenades
I actually don't like Thoughtlock as much - I love the concept, but in practice it seems to turn Phase Lock into a much weaker Sabre Turret and removes a lot of the basic utility of holding an enemy in place.
On an unrelated note, I love the 1340 shield/gun, the nagging sniper rifle, and the cursed SMG - so much fun to use. SWAPPIN WEAPONS!
Very close to the end of the first playthrough, and Handsome Jack is an pimento. Also eagerly waiting to see if we get to meet Butt Stallion or not.
