Hostile takeover usually means that it was without the concent of the CEO/shareholders; in this case, Nexon bought more shares than the CEO held, making them majority ruler of the company, giving them more right to the company than the CEO.

You put your shares up for sale, somebody's going to buy them. That's how the stock market works. If you don't want to be "taken over", don't put yourself up for sale.

Not really, Just make sure your CEO and/or Board of Directors maintains enough shares to keep the company majority ruling power. Basic Economics 101.

That's what I meant. You can put shares up for sale but not so many that someone could "take over" by buying them all.
