It's a truly bizarre story. The sheer irony is amusing though. Even if morbidly so.

Having never heard a rodent being squashed, I defaulted to a squelch sound with a little cracking thrown in.

Now I see cute dead bunnies. Poor zoo, they lost their main attraction.

I just don't understand how this was even possible. it was the main attraction and the whole point of them being there, who takes their eyes off it enough to let it get behind them??? And how do you even back up so decisively as to manage a full on stomp?

i'm going to assume it was one of those cameraman with the big, heavy cameras.

what was a cameraman doing with his eyes NOT on what he's suposed to be recording/photographing though, is a good question. as is "how did that critter even get there, if it's the main attraction?

He did it on purpose. As a child he killed birds and rodents, giving a taste for the blood of innocents. He would video tape it too. Using the skills he gained in the field (literally!) he decided this career would probably bring him closer to more small, defenseless things--but the ones he couldn't normally get to. This was his chance.

And he took it. He is laying in bed laughing maniacally right now.
