The kid that's not black nor white is supposed to be the indian(or whatever he is) one in the first pic?
If that's the case, his skin color changed a lot while growing up.

Captain Planet was a bad show. Magic School Bus was tolerable.

Sadly i'm too old for the 2nd series. I took a guess and figured it was magic schoolbus, but that show started airing when i was already 14. Meaning i had no interest, and would rather watch Batman the animated series.

IMHO I don't think is something exclusive of those two shows, remember that the '90s were the "multicultural" decade, so I bet at least half the kid shows had almost the same cast.

About the Heart, it was pretty dumb on itself but it was what made Captain Planet a good guy so it made sense in that way. Wasn't there an episode with a bad Captain planet that had to do with this?

First watch it on 9gag, found it hilarious that i didnt recognize the magical bus series since i was obssesed with one of their pc games (The one where they travel around the planets)

And yeah captain planet was a dumb series and the Heart power takes the cake for being the most "wtp are you doing here" ever.
